Responsibilities: |
- Support the Office of Student Employment with the student hiring process for Federal Work, Non-Federal Work-Study, and graduate student employees
- Assist students with on- campus job search and inquiries by monitoring the Student Employment inbox, offering Zoom meetings, and walk-ins.
- Track students’ progress and completion of the new hire onboarding tasks process; respond professionally and in a timely manner to all questions from students, parents, and student employee supervisors
- Collaborate with hiring managers across university departments to guide them in the job requisition creation and hiring process
- Assist in facilitating and developing Student Employment Workshops
- Represent the Office of Student Employment in various university events
- Learn and utilize applicant tracking system
- Work closely with the payroll department
- Assist with Student Employee Appreciation Event planning and other department initiatives
- Various projects as needed for the Office of Human Resources.

Qualifications: |
- Must be a graduate student or expected to graduate by end of spring 2025, in good standing, and enrolled at least part-time at Quinnipiac University
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds while exhibiting a positive, caring, and helpful attitude
- Successful applicants will possess professionalism, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and be highly organized
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when required
- Ability to prioritize tasks and projects to ensure proper alignment with workload
- Prior experience with or an interest in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership or Business preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Willingness to take initiative.
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to off-campus HR offices and North Haven campus events.

Hours of Position: |
- 18-20hrs per week
- Must have availability to work Monday through Friday during morning hours
- This is an in-person role working from our SE Office at the Mt. Carmel campus
