Responsibilities: |
Principle Duties: Administrative/Office Operations
- Provide front desk coverage and receive inquiries from clients and campus partners via email, phone or in our project management platform
- Check participants in and out of the housing database, make any necessary room changes
- Follow up and help resolve open support tickets with staff and service providers
- Assist in the preparation of check-in and checkout procedures
Client Relations
- Be the first point of contact with clients on campus and ensure client satisfaction.
- Have a full understanding of each program’s operation and daily logistical needs.
- Greet participants and handle all inquiries, providing exceptional customer service.
The Summer Operations Assistant will be expected to provide an elevated level of customer service to clients and participants while demonstrating responsiveness and professionalism.

Qualifications: |
- In the process of working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree.
- Customer service, administrative, and/or operations experience preferred.
- Quick learner on software platforms.
- Strong oral and written communication skills for telephone, email, and personal contact.
- Must have a pleasant, helpful attitude, calm under pressure and enjoy customer service.
- Must have the ability to encourage and motivate others to work as a part of a team and adhere to deadlines.
- Attention to detail, organized, patient, and maintain a professional appearance.
- Highly proficient at managing multiple priorities while exceeding client expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and deliver requested results.
- Willingness to work independently.
- Candidates must be dependable and thorough.
- Prior event management software experience is helpful but not required.
- A strong work ethic and internal drive to continually improve will be expected.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to repeatedly lift 25 lbs.

Hours of Position and Compensation: |
Hours:
- 20-30 hours per week
- Training Dates: Monday May 18 – Friday, May 23
- Employment Dates: Monday, May 18, 2025, to Friday, August 1, 2025
This position will be mostly nights and weekends, but may require early mornings or late nights for event coverage.
Schedule will vary each week with days off usually occurring on weekdays. Weekend and holiday work is regularly required.

Compensation:
- 20-30 hours per week
- $16.35 per hour.
- Free on-campus housing in a single room in a shared suite, which has an in-suite bathroom and kitchen. Staff are responsible for providing their own meals but can access the dining hall when it is open.
**To be eligible to receive the room and board benefits, candidates must be available to work over 15 hours a week. Free onsite parking.
**On-campus housing will only be available May 18 – August 1. Housing will not be provided outside of those dates.
