Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Office of Inclusive Excellence activities that enables accurate connecting of community members to the appropriate office services, resources, and staff members.
  • Monitor and respond to office communications – including e-mail and telephone – in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide administrative support to graduate assistants and professional staff.
  • Assist with the preparation of community and office documents, presentations, and event materials.
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support office operations
Qualifications:
  • Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a welcoming and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Quinnipiac-related technologies (i.e. MyQ, SharePoint, website).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Preference for prior participation in an Office of Inclusive Excellence program (i.e. Bobcat Academy, First Year Immersion, QU Enriching Student Transitions, Sawhney Leadership Program)
Hours of Position:
  • Up to 10hrs per week
  • As determined between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
