Overview:

Quinnipiac University's College of Arts & Sciences invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor position. We seek a passionate educator who is committed to excellence in teaching and has a strong background in mathematics or statistics. This is a one-year position, starting in Fall 2025.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching load is four courses each semester
  • Courses will be on-ground introductory to intermediate mathematics and statistics courses, depending on department need and candidate interest
  • Write, administer, and grade assignments and examinations
  • Hold a minimum of 4 regularly scheduled office hours each week

Education Requirements:

  • A Ph.D. in Mathematics or Statistics is required at time of appointment to be hired at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor. Candidates who are ABD with potential for high-quality teaching are encouraged to apply.  
  • Candidates with a master’s degree in Mathematics or Statistics are eligible to be hired at the rank of Visiting Instructor.
