Overview: Quinnipiac University's Department of Athletics invites applications for an Assistant Coach, Men's Cross Country to assist in program management including coaching, recruitment and coordination of a collegiate
Division I Men’s Cross Country Program. This is a part-time, non-benefits-eligible position.

Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and work in compliance with all University,  NCAA and Conference rules and regulations
  • Coach student-athletes, maintain a safe and challenging environment that will challenge and develop the physical, mental, and personal abilities of student athletes
  • Administer and manage all phases of a competitive Division I Men’s Cross Country Program
  • Assist with recruiting (on and off campus as assigned)
  • Assist in the future development of Men’s Cross Country alumni and community relations
  • Assist the Head Coach with daily/weekly/seasonal practice planning
  • Weekend travel and supervision
  • Other duties, as assigned
Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
    • Experience may substitute for some of the above education requirements
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to run a practice with necessary cross country runner knowledge and skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with the University community
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to pass NCAA recruiting certification test
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and video editing
  • Proven leadership ability
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, student-athletes and potential recruits and their families
  • Excellent communication, written and oral skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to NCAA Division I guidelines and regulations
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds
