Job Summary: Serve as a Child Psychologist with the Child Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison Service and be a part of the Psychology Division of the Department of Psychiatry. Responsibilities include working on a multidisciplinary consultation team evaluating and providing therapeutic sessions with children and families in the Emergency Dept and on inpatient pediatric medical floors. The Psychologist will assess risk, provide feedback to families and medical staff and provide recommendations for treatment and placement. Provide excellent teaching and supervision to trainees rotating on assigned service. Participate in department administrative activities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from APA-approved program; completion of an APA-approved Clinical Psychology internship; NYS license or license eligible required. Some experience working on consultation-liaison teams in hospital settings. Expertise in working with children and adolescents. Excellent generalist skills. Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Postdoctoral experience in consultation liaison in hospital setting; some experience teaching and providing individual therapy supervision to trainees.

Monday thru Friday daytime hours
