Job Summary:
Schedule based on 40 hours per week. Duties include but not limited to: Coordinates patient reception, arrival and discharge. Performs clerical work, including but not limited to fielding phone calls, handling faxes, form preparation, processing mailings and patient reminders. Interfaces effectively with Technologists, Outpatient Scheduling, Nursing Units and other Team Members. Works with other team members to provide and maintain high quality care and treatment of the patient. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
The NYS Department of Civil Service has developed the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement (HELP) Program, Effective April 5th, 2023. During this program, the NYS Civil Service Exam requirements are suspended for the Hospital Patient Services Clerk 1, SG07 title.
For consideration for this title, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:
One year full-time clerical, secretarial or patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
