Job Summary: The psychologist will work within a consultation/liaison role in an integrated care team that provides assessments, consultations, and brief interventions for patients admitted to the hospital for a medically related trauma or burn. The psychologist will engage in brief interventions for adult patients admitted to the medical hospital at high risk for psychological difficulties following a trauma. In select situations, they will also continue with consultation/liaison work with patients throughout their hospitalization. Their role may also include supervising trainees and teaching. The psychologist will see patients from this service for ongoing outpatient therapy through the faculty private practice. They will also work with a select number of general private practice patients as well.
Minimum Qualifications:

Doctoral degree in psychology from a regionally accredited university who completed an APA approved interniship in Psychology (one year post-doctoral experience in a clinical setting preferred), NY State license as a Psychologist. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred applicants will have experience or expertise working with individuals impacted by trauma and/or within the field of health psychology. Prior experience working with an integrated care team, supervising trainees, and teaching is ideal. Those with postdoctoral training that included or emphasized health psychology are also preferred.
