Job Summary:

We are looking for an Advanced Practice Provider to work with our Biobehavioral Health patients in both the inpatient and ambulatory settings.  This is the first facility of its kind in New York State and will provide inpatient psychiatric care for children and teens with multiple challenges as part of the Golisano Center for Special Needs. 

Can you help us? 

Here’s what you’ll do as an autonomous provider working with a multidisciplinary team:

  • Be part of the direct care staff in performing admission history and physical exams, daily sick call, and daily collaboration with multidisciplinary team members for patients admitted to this cutting-edge inpatient unit. 
  • Outpatient treatment and evaluation of developmental patients seen at the Golisano Center for Special Needs
  • Use your clinical knowledge and interpersonal skills to train other staff on plans and protocols and ensure a safe transition of care from one person to the next
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies.
  • Demonstrate your commitment to care for an underserved population as this requires a unique level of compassion for both patients and families including the ability to communicate with cultural awareness

Minimum Qualifications: 

NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required. Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant & current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice also required. Have a NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire.

CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Pediatric and development experience preferred.

Work Days:

Monday through Friday, No call or weekends
