Job Summary:

The Associate Director of ROI oversees the Release of Information teams at UH, Community, and Galleries/Sanders Creek. This includes the resolution of issues that occur in sensitive situations where there are custody issues, CPS involvement, issues involving Social Work or privacy issues. The Associate Director will monitor workflow and ensure that staff who are telecommuting are maintaining established productivity levels and that we are adhering to set turnaround times for requests. The Associate Director of ROI will monitor the Assistant Directors work to ensure that payments for records from payers as well as attorneys who are delinquent in payment for records are followed up on. Additionally, they will oversee the Release of Information Coordinators who handle Mychart requests, mail, logging, audits and requests from researchers and Census Bureau. The Associate Director will oversee the hiring and planning of staff development for these areas and work with the Assistant Directors and leads to reassess staffing needs and ensure that staff are continually kept up to date with regulatory and policy changes and maintain credentialing. Will assist with auditing projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors in Health Information Management, RHIA certification and 4 years of Health Information Management experience to include 2 years of supervisory experience OR Associates in Health Information Management, RHIT certification and 6 years of Health Information Management experience to include 2 years of supervisory experience required. Microsoft Office Suite experience required. Candidate should have experience with document scanning systems and have technical aptitude to work with HIM Epic team for troubleshooting problems or planning for upgrades.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in resolving patient issues and working with Legal, Compliance and Risk Management. Familiarity with project planning and strategic initiatives. Capable of capturing statistical information for benchmarking and preparing data. Familiarity with regulatory requirements. Excellent demonstrated leadership skills with EMR experience at a super user level (multiple modules) and Chart Correction experience preferred.

Work Days:

Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
