Working closely with the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing, the Technician supports the day-to-day operation of shop facilities, machinery, specialty fabrication equipment, student projects, and classes. The position provides regular updates on technical, functional, and safety operations and ensures facilities and equipment are maintained and operated safely.
A primary responsibility is developing and conducting comprehensive safety and operational training for students, faculty, and staff on manufacturing equipment, tools, and processes. Work may be performed in a WCS office or clinic, or at satellite location(s) on campus.
