University Learning Center Instructional Student Assistant Pool
POSITION
The University Learning Center at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Instructional Student Assistant Pool. These positions are for Tutors.
We welcome applications from current CSUF undergraduate students in various departments to tutor 100 and 200 level high-impact, bottleneck General Education courses.
This is a pool of Instructional Student Assistants for the department to draw on as necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must be a currently enrolled undergraduate student in at least their third semester.
Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Earned an A or B in the course that they tutor.
Possess good interpersonal skills.
Interested candidates must be available for the pre-semester training and monthly training meetings.

COMPENSATION
All Instructional Student Assistant appointments are made under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the United Auto Workers. Initial appointments are for one semester only.
Classification Range: $17.86 - $23.84 per hour Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications, not to exceed $17.86

The University Learning Center (ULC) believes that all learners need support that extends beyond the classroom to reinforce and amplify daily lessons. Research shows that students who engage in tutoring, and attend study groups, achieve higher grades than those who do not. Our focus is the undergraduate 100 & 200 level high-impact, bottleneck General Education courses.
