POSITION

The Business Honors Program (BH) at College of Business & Economics at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Graduate Assistant Pool.

Under the direction of the Director some of the responsibilities will be:

  • Work with the program director to support student recruitment campaign for BH program.
  • Coordinate recruitment process including tracking candidate applications, arrange interviews, admission decision.
  • Provide general guidance to BH leadership team and project teams to help them set up loads and execute the initiatives planned by them and their project teams.
  • Maintain the Business Honors Program Student Lounge to ensure and promote a professional and welcoming environment, including reserving the shared lounge space for club meetings outside of BH.
  • Monitor the BH general email account.
  • Lead the student assistant for the program

APPOINTMENTS FROM THE POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MAY BE OFFERED EMPLOYMENT ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.

REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidates must be a currently enrolled graduate student in good academic standing
  • Excellent computer skills including Office, Excel and PowerPoint and other spreadsheet experience.
  • Type 40 CWAM and have a working knowledge of library and internet research.
  • Must have an excellent command of English – both oral and written
  • Be able to follow directions, show initiative, be reliable and have the ability to assist with large classes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate students in the College of Business & Economics

COMPENSATION

All Graduate Assistant appointments are made under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the United Auto Workers.  Initial appointments are for one semester only.

Classification Range: $3,090- $5,783 per month
Anticipated hiring range depending on qualification, not to exceed $3,246.

The full-time monthly base salaries indicated above are prorated to the time base assigned.

Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act Notification:
Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the current Annual Security Report (ASR) is available for viewing at: https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. This report contains the current security and safety-related policy statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains statistics of Clery Act crimes for California State University, Fullerton for the last three (3) calendar years. Paper copies are available upon request at the CSUF Police Department.

 

Notice of Availability of the Annual Fire Safety Report (AFSR)
In addition, pursuant to the Higher Education Opportunity Act, the AFSR is also available at https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. The purpose of this report is to disclose statistics for fires that occurred within California State University, Fullerton housing facilities for the last three (3) calendar years, and to distribute fire safety policies and procedures intended to promote safety on campus. A paper copy of the AFSR is available upon request by contacting the Housing Office located at The Housing & Residential Engagement Main Office.
