Department of Geological Sciences - Teaching Associate Pool
POSITION:
The Department of Geological Sciences at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Teaching Associate Pool.
We welcome applications from current and prospective CSUF graduate students in the Geological Sciences department to teach in the following subject areas:
Intro to Geological Sciences Lab
Laboratory sections of upper division majors’ classes, as needed.
This is a pool of Teaching Associates for the department to draw on as necessary. APPOINTMENTS FROM THE POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MAY BE OFFERED EMPLOYMENT ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must be a currently enrolled or prospective graduate student in the Geology department.
A BA or BS degree in Geology, Earth Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Candidates should be willing to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students

COMPENSATION
All Teaching Associate appointments are made under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the United Auto Workers. Initial appointments are for one semester only. Classification Range: $3,090 to $7,236 per month Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications, not to exceed $5,200 The full-time monthly base salaries indicated above are prorated to the time base assigned.
