Job Summary
The Department of Marketing has several programs that will be marketed to the student populations (and their respective advisors) at CSUF. These programs include the Marketing Minor, Sales Minor, Sales Certificate and Graduate Certificate in Marketing Analytics. Potential targets include students and advisors in marketing and other business majors, and students and advisors in other colleges at CSUF. The student assistant will assist with the following: look up data to determine the most relevant student populations to target, use the best marketing tools (fliers, presentations, videos, e-mail marketing campaigns, social media posts, etc.) to communicate with the students and their advisors and assist with executing the plan determined by lead/supervisor. This will include using the aforementioned tools, including meeting face-to-face with advisors across campus and presenting to classes. The student will monitor interest and enrollments in the various programs and determine which communication tools were most effective. In addition, assist the department office as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
Required Qualifications
Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
