Job Summary

Under direct supervision, the Front Office and Graphic Design Assistant provides support to the M.S. Instructional Design and Technology program and to the staff, faculty, and students.
Under the supervision of the program director and program coordinator, the student assistant duties include, but are not limited to:

• Provide assistance and customer service to students, faculty, and staff
• Assist with general office duties (e.g. filing, copying, scanning, delivering campus correspondence, etc.)
• Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a professional, appropriate manner with accurate information
• Create and work on spreadsheets, databases, and other documents using Microsoft Office Suite
• Assist with basic student-centered social media outreach to the campus and beyond
• Use various print and electronic media to develop outreach & retention materials
• Assist staff and faculty with special projects, specifically graphic design related projects.
• Assist with the Boot Up Orientation, Midpoint Symposium, workshops, and other in-person events as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

Required Qualifications

  • Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
  • Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
  • In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
  • Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.

Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act Notification:
Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the current Annual Security Report (ASR) is available for viewing at: https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. This report contains the current security and safety-related policy statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains statistics of Clery Act crimes for California State University, Fullerton for the last three (3) calendar years. Paper copies are available upon request at the CSUF Police Department.

 

Notice of Availability of the Annual Fire Safety Report (AFSR)
In addition, pursuant to the Higher Education Opportunity Act, the AFSR is also available at https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. The purpose of this report is to disclose statistics for fires that occurred within California State University, Fullerton housing facilities for the last three (3) calendar years, and to distribute fire safety policies and procedures intended to promote safety on campus. A paper copy of the AFSR is available upon request by contacting the Housing Office located at The Housing & Residential Engagement Main Office.
