Job Summary
One position available to assist with music at Titan Radio. The Music Director Student Assistant must have experience and/or be willing to become familiar with the automated system and software. Should exhibit a high level of creativity as well as computer skills. Should be knowledgeable about the current music and culture sphere. They should also be team-oriented, possess organizational skills, and have the ability to meet deadlines.
Duties include: - Monitor TR2, Titan Radio’s second music stream - Make updates to TR2 as seen fit, as well as market it to listeners - Work closely with Tech director on promos, PSAs, and technical issues - Collaborate with team to promote individual stand-out shows - Listen to and sort through music submissions - Assist the General Manager in developing new music initiatives for Titan Radio - Create weekly official playlists, sorted by genre - Create a content calendar for local events and new music releases - Assist DJs with musical issues and audio issues - Assist with promoting listener engagement, such as hosting and planning listener events - Assist with the On-Air Programming and Tech directors with any software issues - Prepare weekly reports for submission to the General Manager - Update the Titan Radio website as needed, especially the TR2 page - Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
Required Qualifications
Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
