Job Summary
One position available to assist the chief operator of Titan Radio. The General Manager | Titan Radio | Student Assistant will be expected to assist with the day-to-day operations of the station. A General Manager student assistant should possess excellent leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills. Applicant should be team-oriented and possess a creative sense and follow-through skills.
Under direct supervision, the General Manager student assistant will be expected to:
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the station - Assist with direction for the station - Work closely with the Student Management team - Serve as liaison between the Titan Communications faculty management and the Titan Radio student management and Titan Radio DJs and volunteers - Assist with station policy compliance - Review and archive DJ attendance logs, Technical Problems logs, and On-air Traffic Logs. - Assist the Program Director in developing new programs - Assist with the DJ Volunteer program - Assist with workshops for broadcaster training - Maintain regular communication with Titan Radio DJs and volunteers - Cultivate and maintain relationships with faculty and staff outside the Titan Radio program - Work with Titan Communications and the various colleges to enhance and facilitate the use of the station and it's resources in support of CSUF - Actively assist with station improvements - Be available in case of technical emergencies - Assist with purchasing goods and supplies for the radio station - Create, track, and update schedules for all assigned projects - Create and update the Programming Schedule - Maintain connections with other GM's - Work closely with the management of Titan TV - Prepare weekly reports for submission to Titan Communications management - Update the Titan Radio website as needed - Other duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
Required Qualifications
Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
