Job Summary

Part of the College of Business and Economics at California State University, Fullerton and housed within the School of Accountancy, the Center for Corporate Reporting & Governance (CCRG). The CCRG is a premier resource for financial reporting and corporate governance in Orange County, California. Its annual SEC "Hot Topics" Conference in September features leading experts from the SEC, PCAOB, legal profession and industry and attracts over 500 corporate board members and professionals.

The center is seeking students interested in joining a fast-paced professional environment with continuous opportunities for students to grow. Students will assist center directors to host and organize annual center events.

Hours: 40 hours per week (Summer), 20 hours per week (fall & spring semester)

DUTIES MAY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
Monitoring center inbox and correspondences
Assist with planning and organizing the annual SEC Conference & Haskell & White Academic Conference
Assist with event registration, marketing, & post conference responsibilities
Assist with center board relationships
Assisting with Accounting Department needs, the School of Accountancy and university assessment process & codifications

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

Required Qualifications

  • Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
  • Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
  • In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
  • Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the current Annual Security Report (ASR) is available for viewing at: https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. This report contains the current security and safety-related policy statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains statistics of Clery Act crimes for California State University, Fullerton for the last three (3) calendar years. Paper copies are available upon request at the CSUF Police Department.

 

Notice of Availability of the Annual Fire Safety Report (AFSR)
In addition, pursuant to the Higher Education Opportunity Act, the AFSR is also available at https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. The purpose of this report is to disclose statistics for fires that occurred within California State University, Fullerton housing facilities for the last three (3) calendar years, and to distribute fire safety policies and procedures intended to promote safety on campus. A paper copy of the AFSR is available upon request by contacting the Housing Office located at The Housing & Residential Engagement Main Office.
