Position Summary

The Department of Computer Science at CSUF invites applications for its IT Student Assistant position. Under direct supervision of the IT staff the student assistant provides technical support for department operations, labs, and faculty/staff. This is a great opportunity for students looking to gain hands-on experience in IT support, systems maintenance, and troubleshooting within an academic environment. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide basic technical support to faculty, staff, and students (e.g., hardware/software troubleshooting)
  • Assist in maintaining and setting up computer lab equipment, printers, and peripherals
  • Install, configure, and update software and operating systems on department machines
  • Maintain inventory of IT assets and equipment
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by department IT staff

Required Qualifications

  • Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
  • In good academic standing and obtains at least a 3.0 or higher
  • Eligible to work in the United States and can provide eligibility documents

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the current Annual Security Report (ASR) is available for viewing at: https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. This report contains the current security and safety-related policy statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains statistics of Clery Act crimes for California State University, Fullerton for the last three (3) calendar years. Paper copies are available upon request at the CSUF Police Department.

 

Notice of Availability of the Annual Fire Safety Report (AFSR)
In addition, pursuant to the Higher Education Opportunity Act, the AFSR is also available at https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. The purpose of this report is to disclose statistics for fires that occurred within California State University, Fullerton housing facilities for the last three (3) calendar years, and to distribute fire safety policies and procedures intended to promote safety on campus. A paper copy of the AFSR is available upon request by contacting the Housing Office located at The Housing & Residential Engagement Main Office.
