Under supervision by the Wellness Room Coordinator with support from Admin Support Assistants, the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) – Wellness Room Student Assistant Ambassador supports daily operations of the Wellness Room at California State University, Fullerton. Key responsibilities include front-desk reception, appointment scheduling, Wellness Room check-ins, outreach, assisting with presentations, and other duties as assigned—all while maintaining a helpful, professional, and student-centered demeanor.
Student assistants provide welcoming customer service by checking in appointments, answering phones, assisting with paperwork, responding to inquiries, and making appointment changes. They help ensure students are seen promptly, educate them on proper use of the Wellness Room, and maintain a clean, inviting space in both Titan Hall and the Cedar location.
As part of the Division of Student Affairs, CAPS student assistants actively promote mental health and wellness in alignment with the Fullerton Forward Strategic Plan. In a collaborative, team-oriented setting, they are trained to assist staff with workshops, presentations, and outreach events on topics relevant to CSUF’s diverse student population.
