Salary

Classification Range $16.50 - $24.00 per hour

Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications, not to exceed $16.50 per hour

Job Summary

Job Summary:
The Financial Operations Student Assistant, works under the supervision of the Finance Manager and Finance Analyst. This position will be responsible for carrying out various tasks related to minor and major projects. Assists with the preparation of various Excel reports and updates.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Federal Work Study eligibility preferred, but not a requirement.
-Graduation date of May 2027 or later.
-Business, Finance, Accounting students.
-Previous clerical or customer service experience.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Excellent computer proficiency (MS- Word, Excel, Outlook).
-Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
-Ability to work independently, attentive to detail and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

Required Qualifications

-Must be enrolled in 6 or more units as a student at CSUF.
-Previous clerical or customer service experience.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Excellent computer proficiency (MS- Word, Excel, Outlook).
-Ability to work independently, attentive to detail and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
- Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
- In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, or academic dismissal).
- Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.

Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act Notification:
Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the current Annual Security Report (ASR) is available for viewing at: https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. This report contains the current security and safety-related policy statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains statistics of Clery Act crimes for California State University, Fullerton for the last three (3) calendar years. Paper copies are available upon request at the CSUF Police Department.

 

Notice of Availability of the Annual Fire Safety Report (AFSR)
In addition, pursuant to the Higher Education Opportunity Act, the AFSR is also available at https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. The purpose of this report is to disclose statistics for fires that occurred within California State University, Fullerton housing facilities for the last three (3) calendar years, and to distribute fire safety policies and procedures intended to promote safety on campus. A paper copy of the AFSR is available upon request by contacting the Housing Office located at The Housing & Residential Engagement Main Office.
