Salary

Classification Range $16.50 - $24.00 per hour
Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications, not to exceed $17.50.

Monday - Friday between the hours of 8am to 5pm; 10-20 hours/week, based on availability.

Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Development Analysts in the office of the Assistant Vice Presidents, the student assistant will serve in a part-time capacity. The student assistant will support and assist the Development Analysts and Assistant Vice Presidents with administrative duties related to activities listed below.

Specific tasks will include:
Assist staff with data entry 
Help prepare and organize donor mailings which include labelling envelopes, printing and folding letters, and collating and assembling mailings.
Assist with special events for donors. This will include sending invites, managing and tracking RSVP lists and attendance
Assist with filling out forms.
Help coordinate stewardship and cultivation meetings/events.
Assist with creating stewardship materials and impact reports for donors.
Assist with updating the UA Portal website.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be able to work up to 10-20 hours a week between 8am – 5pm.
Some availability for occasional evening and weekend hours is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail.
Accuracy and speed in data entry.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

Required Qualifications

  • Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
  • Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
  • In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
  • Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.

Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act Notification:
Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the current Annual Security Report (ASR) is available for viewing at: https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. This report contains the current security and safety-related policy statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains statistics of Clery Act crimes for California State University, Fullerton for the last three (3) calendar years. Paper copies are available upon request at the CSUF Police Department.

 

Notice of Availability of the Annual Fire Safety Report (AFSR)
In addition, pursuant to the Higher Education Opportunity Act, the AFSR is also available at https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. The purpose of this report is to disclose statistics for fires that occurred within California State University, Fullerton housing facilities for the last three (3) calendar years, and to distribute fire safety policies and procedures intended to promote safety on campus. A paper copy of the AFSR is available upon request by contacting the Housing Office located at The Housing & Residential Engagement Main Office.
