About the Position:
Cal State Fullerton (CSUF) Extension collaborates with University departments and colleges on unique programs for students from the community and around the world. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as the Customer Service Student Account Support Coordinator (Administrative Support Coordinator II). The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity.
Under the general supervision of the University Extension Executive Director, Executive Director, Academic Resources, and the Student Services Specialist, the Customer Service Student Account Administrative Support Coordinator II provides a wide range of student and customer service support for Extension Programs. The Customer Service Student Account Support Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for prospective, new, and continuing University Extension students as well as other customers including but not limited to sponsors, faculty, staff, instructors, administrators, campus and community partners, and the general public. Provides high-quality information to these constituencies via email, web, live chat, telephone, and in-person. Provides student account support including answering questions, handling student sponsorship verification, coding, billing, and collection. Provides enrollment support including answering questions, registering students, processing fee payments, and sending enrollment confirmations. Supports student records processing such as application processing, enrollment verifications, petitions, awarding of certificates, and grading support. Performs a variety of clerical duties in support of the general operations of the unit. Contributes to systems testing, writing, and updating of business process guides and training of others. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications
|
High School diploma or the equivalent and five years of progressively responsible experience in general office, clerical or secretarial work or the equivalent. Comprehensive and detailed knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures. Thorough mastery of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Expertise in using office software packages, technology, and systems. Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects. Ability to independently interpret and apply policies and procedures and use judgment and discretion to act when precedents do not exist. Ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to all inquiries and requests related to work area. Ability to understand problems from a broad perspective and anticipate the impact of office administration problems and solutions on other areas. Ability to analyze operational and procedural problems and develop, recommend, and evaluate proposed solutions. Ability to perform business math, analyze budgetary data, and make accurate projections requiring some inference. Ability to effectively write and present own reports. Ability to effectively handle interpersonal interactions at all levels including highly sensitive interpersonal situations. Ability to use negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve results and expedite projects.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to complete the background check satisfactorily may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to handle fluctuating demands and willingness to proactively learn about processes to better respond to inquiries and perform job duties. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or the equivalent. Ability to successfully work independently and as a team member. Comprehensive knowledge of CSUF infrastructure, policies and procedures.
