Job Summary
Provide clerical support to the Faculty Internship Coordinator for the Department of Communications, supporting academic internships for students majoring in Communications, Cinema & Television Arts, and Human Communication Studies.
Assist faculty internship coordinator with a variety of projects and duties; Gain a firm understanding of internship program requirements and policies in order to answer student questions or refer them appropriately; Answer incoming calls and respond to emails in the general mailbox; Develop flyers and marketing materials; Assist with the Creation content for social media; Assist in recording and tracking internship data using Canvas and Google spreadsheets; Assist with track attendance and assist with Zoom internship orientation sessions; Assist with verify completion of prerequisites
Assist students who have difficulty identifying and securing internships; Occasional typing, proofing, and copying of forms and other documents; Must demonstrate precise attention to detail in processing data; Opportunity to collaborate on additional projects; Other clerical duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience and/or interest in teaching/advising; Experience with graphic design and/or ability to create professional-quality flyers and graphics.
Required Qualifications
Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
