Salary

Classification Range $16.50 - $24.00 per hour
Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications.

Work Schedule

Must be able to work a minimum of twice a week with a minimum of three (3) hour shift.  Office hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday-Friday. May include nights and weekends.

Job Summary

Student assistant will assist staff in the following:  

• Assist with creating visual content for Student Life & Leadership’s social media platforms (videos and photos) 

• Assist in scheduling, publishing, and monitoring social media content across various platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, etc.) 

• Assist in managing Student Life & Leadership’s social media calendar and planning upcoming campaigns and/or initiatives. 

• Respond to inquiries and comments on social media platforms in alignment with CSUF’s communication standards. 

• Track and report key performance metrics for digital marketing campaigns and/or initiatives.

• Capture social media content during university events, such as photos and videos.

• Organize and maintain digital content/media libraries, including photos and videos.

• Keep up with and understand social media platforms and social media trends. 

• Refer questions and concerns to the proper staff member or department 

• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Professional or Graduate Assistant staff. 

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

Must be an enrolled student at CSU Fullerton at the time of application and throughout employment  time period.

Must meet the CSU Minimum Qualifications for Student Office Holders.

Must have strong  customer service experience; time-management skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced  environment; ability to handle projects independently, prioritize tasks appropriately through completion, excellent planning, problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate and resolve any issues or challenges; proficient in MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Adobe Suite; competent in digital art: layout, photography, color theory, etc. 

 

Required Qualifications
  • Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
  • Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
  • In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
  • Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
Background Check A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for this position. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the current Annual Security Report (ASR) is available for viewing at: https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. This report contains the current security and safety-related policy statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains statistics of Clery Act crimes for California State University, Fullerton for the last three (3) calendar years. Paper copies are available upon request at the CSUF Police Department.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Fire Safety Report (AFSR)
In addition, pursuant to the Higher Education Opportunity Act, the AFSR is also available at https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. The purpose of this report is to disclose statistics for fires that occurred within California State University, Fullerton housing facilities for the last three (3) calendar years, and to distribute fire safety policies and procedures intended to promote safety on campus. A paper copy of the AFSR is available upon request by contacting the Housing Office located at The Housing & Residential Engagement Main Office.
