Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Campus Planner or their designee, the D&C Student Assistant will be responsible for assisting full-time staff with organizing, scanning, and archiving project documents; providing general office operations support; documenting space; and providing project support for capital projects. This position requires detail-oriented individuals who can handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Other duties as assigned.

•            Assist full-time staff with organizing, scanning, and filing project documents.

•            Assist full-time staff in preparing Job Order Contracts (JOC).

•            Assist full-time staff in sending out Request for Proposals (RFP), which involves assisting in the submission of all supporting documents, and following up with vendors for additional information.

•            Assist full-time staff in the communication with vendors and follow up on basic estimate questions.

•            Assists full-time staff with coordinating and scheduling meetings.

•            Attends project meetings as scheduled.

•            Assists full-time staff with the survey and measurement of existing spaces.

•            Data entry support for project and work order management system.

•            Assist with processing AdobeSign files.

•            Assist in administrative support tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position. 

• Must be enrolled student at California State University, Fullerton (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, Photoshop, Acrobat, Smartsheet, Procore, etc.)

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, in support of meeting deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.

• Ability to work with little direction, and able to carry out assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions given, and be attentive to detail, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

• Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.

• In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, or academic dismissal).

• student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

•            Students with a graduation date of May 2027 or later preferred.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the current Annual Security Report (ASR) is available for viewing at: https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. This report contains the current security and safety-related policy statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains statistics of Clery Act crimes for California State University, Fullerton for the last three (3) calendar years. Paper copies are available upon request at the CSUF Police Department.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Fire Safety Report (AFSR)
In addition, pursuant to the Higher Education Opportunity Act, the AFSR is also available at https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. The purpose of this report is to disclose statistics for fires that occurred within California State University, Fullerton housing facilities for the last three (3) calendar years, and to distribute fire safety policies and procedures intended to promote safety on campus. A paper copy of the AFSR is available upon request by contacting the Housing Office located at The Housing & Residential Engagement Main Office.
