Analytical Pool AY 26-27

POSITION

The School of Accountancy at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Instructional Student Assistant Analytical Pool.

We welcome applications from currently enrolled CSUF students for a position within the School of Accountancy that may fall under one of the following categories: 

  • Fundamental Skills Lab ISA
  • Bridge to Success Lab ISA
  • Accounting Analytics and Technology Lab ISA
  • Other School of Accountancy Lab
  • ISA with a specific course or faculty assignment

This is a pool of Instructional Student Assistant for the department to draw on as necessary.

Task can include but not limited to:

  • Assist students with learning advanced technologies
  • Assist faculty in presenting advanced technologies
  • Assist faculty with group projects
  • Train students with technological training and applications

APPOINTMENTS FROM THE POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MAY BE OFFERED EMPLOYMENT ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.

REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled students.
  • Excellent computer skills including Office, Excel and PowerPoint and other spreadsheet experience.
  • Type 40 CWAM and have a working knowledge of library and internet research.
  • Must have an excellent command of English – both oral and written
  • Be able to follow directions, show initiative, be reliable and have the ability to assist with large classes
  • Ability to learn and perform assigned work
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels and read/write English at a level appropriate to the position
  • Strong working knowledge of Tableau, SQL, Alteryx, Microsoft Power Platform, PowerQuery
  • Detail oriented with a strong ability to work independently

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Accounting students at Cal State Fullerton
  • Student with Federal Work Study award

COMPENSATION

All Instructional Student Assistant appointments are made under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the United Auto Workers.  Initial appointments are for one semester only.

Classification Range: $17.86 - $23.84 per hour
Anticipated hiring range depending on qualification, not to exceed $20.00

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the current Annual Security Report (ASR) is available for viewing at: https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. This report contains the current security and safety-related policy statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains statistics of Clery Act crimes for California State University, Fullerton for the last three (3) calendar years. Paper copies are available upon request at the CSUF Police Department.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Fire Safety Report (AFSR)
In addition, pursuant to the Higher Education Opportunity Act, the AFSR is also available at https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. The purpose of this report is to disclose statistics for fires that occurred within California State University, Fullerton housing facilities for the last three (3) calendar years, and to distribute fire safety policies and procedures intended to promote safety on campus. A paper copy of the AFSR is available upon request by contacting the Housing Office located at The Housing & Residential Engagement Main Office.
