Salary

Classification Range $16.90 - $24.00 per hour

Flexible within M-F, 8-5. Up to 20 hours per week.

Job Summary

Under general direction, responsible for providing front office customer service to students, faculty, staff, and community members. Provide general guidance, information, and assistance to students seeking academic internships and service-learning opportunities. Provide students with basic information on all CICE programs. will assist staff with processing necessary paperwork related to student placement for academic internships and service-learning. Assist students with CICE processes.

Assist staff with customer service skills to respond to customers via email, telephone, and in person. Ability to work as a member of a team and communicate effectively with office staff and administrators.
Should be familiar with a variety of office support technologies and systems such as Outlook, Word, and Excel. Must be capable of learning CICE's custom computer programs.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; familiarity with Microsoft Office programs; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

Required Qualifications

  • Current student at CSUF that is Federal Work-Study eligible.
  • Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
  • Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
  • In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
  • Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.

Preferred Qualifications

• Need to be customer service oriented.
• Must have a professional demeanor;
• Must have strong computer skills;
• Must be able to communicate effectively in person with students and on the telephone with representatives from companies and organizations;
• Must be familiar with PCs: Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Web;
• Excellent listening and follow-through skills;
• Familiar with basic office procedures and telephone etiquette;

Physical Requirements

Standing, sitting, lifting up to 20lbs, answering telephone, typing

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the current Annual Security Report (ASR) is available for viewing at: https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. This report contains the current security and safety-related policy statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains statistics of Clery Act crimes for California State University, Fullerton for the last three (3) calendar years. Paper copies are available upon request at the CSUF Police Department.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Fire Safety Report (AFSR)
In addition, pursuant to the Higher Education Opportunity Act, the AFSR is also available at https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. The purpose of this report is to disclose statistics for fires that occurred within California State University, Fullerton housing facilities for the last three (3) calendar years, and to distribute fire safety policies and procedures intended to promote safety on campus. A paper copy of the AFSR is available upon request by contacting the Housing Office located at The Housing & Residential Engagement Main Office.
