The dean will provide innovative leadership for a comprehensive academic library that plays a central role in advancing Cal Poly’s mission of teaching, learning, research, and creative activity. The dean will strengthen the library’s role as a center for knowledge creation, digital scholarship, open access, and interdisciplinary engagement while championing Cal Poly’s “Learn by Doing” philosophy and commitment to student success. As a member of the Provost’s Academic Affairs leadership team, the dean will oversee operations at the Kennedy Library, the Maritime Library, and the library aboard the training ship, and will work closely with campus and external partners to enhance resources, services, and infrastructure. |
