We seek an exceptional individual to join our Academic Human Resource Services (AHRS) team as an Academic HR Services Coordinator (Administrative Support Coordinator I). The Academic HR Services Coordinator performs administrative tasks in the Academic Human Resource Services (AHRS) unit within the Division of Human Resources and Inclusive Excellence.  The Academic HuR Services Coordinator supports processing of background check requests and works with the colleges and Accurate Background to resolve issues. Provides routine assistance to college and department support staff on processing appointments and onboarding in CHRS Recruiting system and CHRS TAE. Provides routine assistance to college and department support staff on AHRS forms in Adobe Experience Manager, including such as troubleshooting and workflow questions. Reviews faculty additional employment appointments. Assists with routine maintenance of the Temporary Academic Employment Module and related communications. Escalates irregular requisition and appointment issues. Updates internal business process documentation. Provides administrative support to the AHRS unit including but not limited to serving as Department IT Coordinator. Prepares and submits Concur, CSUBuy, and PC travel transactions. Monitors Academic HR email inbox daily and responds or escalates as appropriate. Schedules meetings, supports calendaring for recurring meetings and events. Prepares agendas for, sends communications on, and moderates standing AHRS meetings. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

High School diploma or the equivalent and four years of progressively responsible experience in general office, clerical or secretarial work or the equivalent. Thorough, detailed knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures. Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Thorough knowledge of office systems with the ability to use a range of technology, systems and software packages. Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects. Ability to apply a variety of policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not exist. Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures. Ability to perform standard business math including calculating ratios and percentages, tracking financial data, and making simple projections. Ability to draft and compose correspondence and standard reports. Ability to handle effectively a broad range of interpersonal contacts including those at a higher level and those sensitive in nature.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to complete the background check satisfactorily may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
