Job Overview
Acts as a member of the information security team. Provides analysis and support for campus information security compliance requirements and objectives. The incumbent will work closely with team members, end users, and IITS staff to implement technologies and operational methods as well as evaluate compliance with CSU and campus information security policies and standards.
As directed by the Information Security Officer, the position is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing information security projects. These projects may include working with the functional areas and end users to develop practices, controls and technologies required to secure campus information assets and comply with campus and CSU policy. Additionally, the incumbent will track and maintain compliance records, develop reports, and train users in information security topics. Other duties include Information Security Team responsibilities such as developing firewall rules, analyzing metrics, researching issues, and reporting results.

This is a full-time, exempt position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period.

Pay, Benefits, and Work Schedule
Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $6,492 - $6,890 per month (step 1 - step 4)
CSU Classification Salary Range: $6,494 - $9,458 per month
Salary is commensurate with the background and experience of the individual selected.
This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 15 paid holidays are offered each year; 14 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.
