Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Salary: $2,929.34/month

  • This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), non-exempt position.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Fan Engagement, this position assists with the planning, creation, and implementation of all marketing and promotional campaigns for Fresno State Athletics. Responsibilities include: leading all marketing and fan engagement efforts for assigned sports while serving in a support capacity for football and men’s basketball, assisting in the management of the department’s primary social media platforms and digital media branding and marketing efforts, creating and executing campus and student marketing efforts, and developing and executing general promotional and fan engagement efforts with an emphasis on growing the fan base and revenue generation. Additional responsibilities include conceptualizing and developing creative and consistent promotional initiatives that educate, inspire, and engage external audiences; promoting single-game, group ticket, and season ticket sales campaigns for ticketed sports programs; and serving as the lead marketing liaison for assigned sports.

 

Key Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skillset in social media marketing and branding strategies.
  • Competent in all current social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, etc.).
  • Demonstrated successful experience conducting season, group, and single game ticket sales campaigns.
  • Competent in the use of Photoshop, Sound Director, PC and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and web page development.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Title IX regulations.
    • NCAA rules, compliance, and regulations.
    • Strong oral, written communication, and creativity skills.
  • Ability to:
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, business partners, and the general public.
    • Strictly adhere to NCAA, and athletic department rules and regulations.
    • Acquire knowledge of and rapidly apply athletic department rules and regulations.
    • Quickly understand and develop positive working relationships with the department’s multimedia rights holder.
    • Work in a flexible, collaborative manner.
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions while under pressure of meeting deadlines.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sports Management, or related field.
  • Recent experience in athletics marketing/promotions.
