California State University East Bay's Graduate School of Education is seeking an Administrative Support Coordinator, Level II to provide administrative and clerical support to the departments of Educational Leadership, Educational Psychology, and Teacher Education, which serve approximately 750 students across master’s, doctoral degree and credential programs.
This position works closely with the Education department Chairs to support the departments’ programs and students. Duties fall under four categories: clerical support; workload/class schedules; contract, faculty appointments, and payroll; and scholarships.
The successful candidate must exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills and critical thinking; advanced knowledge of Excel; and the ability to master various software and data systems used by the University. Essential skills in this high-activity environment include the ability to multi-task; problem solve; organize tasks and projects for maximum efficiency while ensuring accuracy; and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in addition to initiating ownership of projects and tasks as needed.
Duties and responsibilities are in support of the day-to-day operations of the Education departments. This position operates independently on a wide array of operations requiring sound judgement, initiative, and the ability to consistently maintain confidentiality while exercising discretion and sensitivity.

Under general supervision, the Supervising Electrician is primarily responsible for supervising and working with one or more groups or crews of skilled journey-level electricians and their semi-skilled assistants in the performance of general electrical maintenance work outlined in the series overview. In addition, this position is expected to assist the journey-level Electricians in the performance of general electrical maintenance as outlined in the CSU Classification and Qualified Standards for the Electrician Series.
Incumbent, under general supervision, will be responsible for organizing the shop, scheduling and assigning work, laying out and coordination of work flow for jobs; preparing materials lists and ordering supplies for the job; training and orienting employees on trades related skills and safety issues. Duties include prioritizing and coordinating the work of multiple crews or projects; assigning work to qualified crew members; providing work and safety instructions; providing on-the-job training and instructions to less skilled workers in trade and safety practices; and providing input to the Appropriate Administrator on performance evaluations. In addition, this position will monitor work in progress; inspect completed work to ensure it is in compliance with specifications, special instructions and sound trade practices; develop and maintain manual and/or computerized work record keeping and/or maintenance management systems; prepare reports; and oversee an electrical shop. On specific projects, may coordinate the work of other skilled crafts workers.
