This position will involve teaching laboratory or discussion sections, mainly in our foundational level courses including Introduction to Biology Lab, Principles of Biology I and II, Microbiology for Allied Health Majors, and Human Anatomy and Physiology for Allied Health Majors I and II. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students. Candidates must also have a commitment to teamwork and work with the course coordinator and other instructors where appropriate to allow for effective and equitable instruction across different course sections.
This is a pool of graduate students for the department to consider for teaching assistantships, and all appointments are temporary. Decisions on teaching assistantships are made on a rolling basis, normally between several months before and up to the beginning of the academic term. It is recommended that candidates submit their applications at least four (4) months before the beginning of an academic term to receive full consideration for available positions.
