Facility and Event Coordinator East Bay
In support of the Athletic Department, the Facility and Event Coordinator serves as a member of the Athletic Administrative team assisting the Asst. Athletics Director of Facilities and Operations with the daily facility and event operations of the Athletics Department. Key responsibilities include being on-site for events hosted by the Athletics Department, as well as assisting with the equipment room oversight, particularly the planning and execution of necessary laundry operations for the department.
Associate Academic Advisor East Bay
The Associate Academic Advisor plays a vital role in furthering Cal State East Bay's strategic goals, vision, mission, and values as described in Cal State East Bay’s Future Directions Strategic Plan as well as with CSU-wide goals and initiatives. These outcomes are accomplished by delivering holistic, consistent, sophisticated and comprehensive academic advising services to students with majors and minors within the College of Education and Allied Studies. This position provides students with accurate, timely advising and evaluation of coursework as applicable to the completion of their major, general education, university graduation requirements and information on the credential and graduate programs. This position will also assist students in pursuing their educational and career goals through various steps such as career assessments, graduate school research, connecting with faculty advisors, and career services, etc. The advisor autonomously addresses and resolves student issues with evidence-based strategies and maintains student records to ensure they meet Title 5, CSU, and University degree requirements. They assist with academic petitions, guide degree progression, and work collaboratively with academic departments, the registrar, and other campus offices to tackle a variety of student challenges. Additionally, this role involves active participation in the development and execution of policies and strategic planning in the advising sphere, all aimed at promoting the success, persistence, and timely graduation of students within their specific college or department. This position supports the whole student by providing information and guidance with clarity and kindness. Advising at the Concord campus or representation at events held at other institutions may at times be required.
Accountant II East Bay
Reporting to the General Accounting Manager, the position primarily works within the Accounting & Fiscal Services General Accounting unit but may work on other Fiscal Services areas, including Accounts Payable, Auxiliary Organizations, and additional areas. Responsibilities include collecting, processing, and analyzing accounting transactional data, managing month-end and year-end closing processes, and coordinating auditor requests.
Credential Analyst I East Bay
Under general supervision, the Credential Analyst I is responsible for reviewing credential applications and recommending whether or not a credential, certificate or permit be recommended for issuance. Incumbents evaluate academic qualifications and determine credit to be granted toward credentials, certificates and permits; process applications for teaching credentials and permits, rejecting those that do not meet mandated requirements; maintain resource documents that describe all the rules and requirements for each type of credential; circulate and post announcements regarding testing dates, activities and schedules related to credential preparation; provide forms, handouts and instructions related to applying for credentials; maintain progress files on students preparation program; advise and assist students and members of the faculty, faculty committees and their interested parties by interpreting credential rules, regulations and processes. Incumbents at this level do not have final authority to directly notify the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing that a credential, certificate, or permit be issued to an applicant.
Assistant to the Dean, College of Business & Economics East Bay
The College of Business & Economics at California State University, East Bay, comprises four academic departments and offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The Dean’s Office is responsible for overseeing all college operations. In this highly visible role, which reflects directly on the Dean's Office, the individual will manage a significant and varied workload of a complex and highly confidential nature under general supervision. They will evaluate and prioritize requests for the Dean’s time, taking appropriate action or referring matters as necessary. During the Dean’s absence, the individual will work closely with the Associate Dean to ensure that all critical tasks are completed promptly.
Deployment and Logistics Specialist East Bay
The Deployment and Logistics Specialist provides support for troubleshooting technology issues including software, hardware, and networking. This position is also responsible for overseeing IT’s software portfolio specifically managing the procurement and renewal lifecycle of licenses, services and software, such as monitoring licenses used in labs, classrooms, and desktops. This role consults directly with the entire campus community and guests, exhibiting a high level of communication and customer service competency.
Accounting Technician II East Bay
The Finance area consists of General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Student Financial & Cashier Services, Bay Card/University Club Services, Accounts Receivable, Finance Support, Budget and Procurement & Support Services. These departments report to four managers: the Director of University Budget Services, the Director of Fiscal Services, Student Financial Services & Cashiers Director and the Director of Procurement Services. These managers report to the Associate Vice President of Finance. The incumbent will be an Accounting Technician II within the University Accounts Payable unit.
Graduate Admissions Counselor East Bay
The Office of Admissions at Cal State East Bay is looking for a detail-oriented, dedicated, and collaborative professional to join our fun and cohesive team of Graduate Admissions Counselors. Under the general supervision of the Director of Admission and supervising Associate/Assistant Directors, the Admissions Counselors coordinate the processing, evaluation, and advising of applicants for assigned groups. Counselors must follow a wide and complex range of relevant policies when making final admissions decisions. The position is also responsible for advising on Admission requirements, policies, and procedures to various audiences including prospective students/applicants, high school/community college counselors, faculty, and staff. Working with other Cal State East Bay offices, Admissions Counselors also participate in the campus-wide effort to recruit prospective students as well as support the transition of admitted applicants to enrolled.
Student Outreach Counselor East Bay
The Office of Student Outreach provides comprehensive services to prospective students, current students, staff, faculty, and members of the community-at-large seeking University information or services concerning outreach, pre-admission advising, transfer credit evaluation and financial aid. This Student Outreach counselor position conducts a full range of enrollment service activities. Under the general supervision of the Director of Student Outreach, this position specializes in generating, cultivating, advising, converting, and yielding prospective students within a defined market territory as well as supporting efforts to meet the University's overall new student enrollment goals.
Undocumented Student Resource Center Assistant (Temporary) East Bay
This Undocumented Student Resource Center Assistant position is a trainee position under the Student Services Professional (SSP) IA classification, an entry level classification in the Student Services Professional series. This position will serve in the trainee capacity that is not to exceed 12 months. Upon successful completion of training and satisfactory performance under the SSP IA classification, this position may, at the discretion of the appropriate administrator and based on university needs, evolve to the next classification level – SSP IB and be expected to perform similar duties with greater independence and under more limited supervision. Permanent status cannot be earned in a trainee position. This is a full-time, temporary position.
Director of Student Outreach East Bay
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Director of Student Outreach is responsible for developing a marketing/recruitment plan and managing the student outreach program to attract an undergraduate class that meets the University's overall enrollment goals. Specific goals include generating prospects and engaging in coordinated outreach efforts to assure the enrollment of academically qualified students and provide service to the University's core region. This position is responsible for developing, executing, and assessing a prospective student communications plan; territory management and assessments; and working in close collaboration with Admissions, the Registrar, Financial Aid, and other campus partners. This position will hire, train, lead, manage and evaluate a staff of 12 full-time professionals. The Student Outreach Director will also serve as the lead representative for the University to outside constituents who are involved in enrollment management activities. This position also oversees the University Welcome Center.
Transfer Admissions Counselor East Bay
The Office of Admissions is looking for an independent, detail-oriented, quick-learning and professional individual to be part of our Transfer Admissions team. Under the general supervision of the Director of Admission and supervising Associate Director, the Transfer Admission Counselor coordinates the processing, evaluation, and advising of applicants for assigned groups. The counselor must follow a wide and complex range of relevant policies when making final admissions decisions. This position is also responsible for advising on Admission requirements, policies and procedures to various audiences including prospective students/applicants, faculty and staff. Working with other East Bay offices, the counselors also participate in the campus-wide effort to recruit prospective students as well as support the transition of admitted applicants to enrolled students.
Accounting Technician II East Bay
This position is under the supervision of the Accounts Payable Manager and is primarily in the Accounts Payable unit. However, duties may also include support within other areas within Fiscal Services. This Accounting Technician II position is responsible for processing pay cycles for all AP invoices, including handling the wire payments in Wells Fargo, along with handling the voids and stop payments. In addition, incumbent will assist with the use of the current travel software, ensuring vendor set ups within the software, and maintaining data integrity, providing some functional support as well as training to end users. Lastly, incumbent will identify, track, and clear Accounts Payable compliance issues including but not limited to STD261s and Defensive driving mandatory coverage requirements. Duties will also include the maintenance of Accounts Payable records and email account.
Accounting Technician II East Bay
This position is under the supervision of the Accounts Payable Manager and is primarily in the Accounts Payable unit.  However, duties may also include support within other areas within Fiscal Services. The Accounting Tech II position is responsible for processing invoices for all AP payments, along with auditing travel reimbursements in current system. This lead position helps with any campus community questions, in addition to supporting the Accounts Payable Manager as needed for things like the trial register review, handling other tasks when the manager is out.  The incumbent will handle various trainings as it applies to travel, and hospitality policies.  Duties will also include the maintenance of AP records.
Employer Relations Coordinator East Bay
Performs duties under the general supervision of the Director of the Career Empowerment Center (CEC) and direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Employer Relations. This position is primarily responsible for developing new and strengthening existing employer and industry partnerships. This includes but is not limited to program development, implementation, and evaluation. The Employer Relations Coordinator also serves as a consultant to academic and employer communities related to employment services; oversees the development of employer relations and employment opportunities within the local and global communities, and supervises the daily operation of employment connection and recruitment services, ensuring efficient and quality customer service and adherence to legal guidelines.
Facilities Maintenance Mechanic East Bay

Director of Development - College of Health & Student Success Initiatives East Bay
Under the supervision of the Associate Vice President for Development, the Director of Development will be responsible for directing a full-spectrum of development and fundraising activities specific to an assigned College (and other Colleges and programs as assigned). The Director of Development will focus primarily on securing individual major gift support ($25,000+) and, to a lesser degree, will facilitate garnering corporate and foundation support. International Student Advisor East Bay
This position provides support and assistance to international students and scholars. Specific duties include but are not limited to: managing federal SEVIS reporting requirements on behalf of Cal State East Bay (i.e. communication with the Department of Homeland Security about the F-1 students admitted to and attending Cal State East Bay); assisting international students (F-1) to understand the complex nature of the legal status in the U.S. vis à-vis federal regulations and university academic policies and procedures; assisting international students to obtain immigration benefits such as curricular practical training & optional practical training; assisting with on-going services such as orientation, immigration workshops and other non-immigration focused programs; and assisting with international recruitment efforts, as needed.
Parking Coordinator East Bay
The position operates under the limited supervision of the Director of University Parking & Alternative Transportation Services and works independently to coordinate and perform operational support activities throughout the organization. This includes issuing and billing parking permits and managing other accounts receivables, handling parking citation appeals and collections, coordinating special event parking accommodations, and assisting with customer service to resolve customer issues. The position will also handle cash and other forms of payment, reconcile accounts, and manage collections. Additionally, the role involves supervising 12-15+ Student Assistants responsible for enforcing parking regulations on campus, coordinating day-to-day parking department operations, and providing assistance to faculty, staff, and students who contact or visit the Parking & Transportation office. The position will also provide insights into the parking budget and offer a full range of support functions to support the Parking & Transportation Services Budget.
