HR & Payroll Services Receptionist - Administrative Support Assistant II East Bay
Under general supervision of the Director, Benefits and Payroll Services, the Administrative Support Assistant/Receptionist is the first contact for visitors to the Office of Human Resources and Payroll Services. The incumbent is responsible for greeting and assisting customers with new employee sign-in and separation documents and providing varying levels of general office, administrative, and clerical support.
Assistant Professor of Political Science East Bay
The Department of Political Science at California State University, East Bay seeks an Assistant Professor (tenure track) in Pre-Law, Legal Studies, or Judicial Politics. The Department of Political Science prepares graduates to enter careers in government, public service, public administration, public policy analysis, legislative advocacy, business, international relations, and teaching. The department currently has five tenured or tenure-track faculty. In addition to teaching and research, all faculty are expected to provide student advising, assist the department with administrative and/or committee work, and engage in campus-wide committee responsibilities. The successful applicant will be expected to serve as a Pre-Law advisor and to attend the Pacific Association of Pre-Law Advisors meeting and similar events.
Audio Video Installer - Information Technology Consultant - Foundation (Temporary through October 28, 2022) (3 positions) East Bay
The AV Installer provides AV implementation, maintenance, and project participation. While providing primary work for the TechFlex project upgrading our classrooms, the AV Installer is expected to have a strong desire of all forms of AV, meeting/conference room, and teaching environments. This position may also be assigned other projects/applications within the scope of AV. This position reports to the Lead of AV. These are temporary, full-time positions through June 30, 2022, with the possibility of reappointment.
Accounting Technician II East Bay
This position is under the supervision of the Accounts Payable Manager and is primarily in the Accounts Payable unit. However, duties may also include support within other areas within Fiscal Services. This Accounting Tech II position is responsible for processing paycycles for all AP payments, and responsible for voiding checks as requested. In addition, incumbent will oversee use of the current travel software, ensuring compliance, data integrity, providing functional and technical support as well as training to end users. Lastly, incumbent will identify, track, and clear Accounts Payable compliance issues including but not limited to STD261s and Defensive driving mandatory coverage requirements.
Temporary Office Support Pool East Bay
This announcement establishes a one-year temporary, on-call Office Support Pool. Assignments typically will vary in duration from one day to three months but may last as long as six months, generally between 20 and 40 hours per week. Office Support employees perform a variety of office duties including a full range of receptionist duties, typing, data entry, budget, filing, copying, opening/sorting/distributing mail, faxing, scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, making travel arrangements, etc. Duties and responsibilities will vary depending on the hiring department. Payroll Technician I (Temporary through June 30, 2022, with the possibility of reappointment) East Bay
Under close supervision, the Payroll Technician I performs the typical activities related to the processing of the full range of payroll and personnel transactions such as appointments, changes in status, leaves and separations for all California State University employees.
Nursing Department Office Manager- Adminitrative Support Coordinator II East Bay
This position provides administrative support for the Nursing Department, including the Pre-licensure Program, the Post-licensure Program and the Master’s in Nursing Program. The position provides support for the department chair, faculty, staff and students. The Administrative Support Coordinator ensures that the Nursing Department operates efficiently and sets policies and procedures relating to office function. The position is responsible for implementing Nursing Department goals and for complying with university policies. The position assists with program accreditation requirements and manages required documentation with the California Board of Registered Nursing on behalf of the students, faculty, and department. This position is responsible for resolving problems as they arise, for anticipating problems, and instituting measures to prevent their occurrence.
Plumber East Bay
Plumbers are journey-level skilled trades workers responsible for the full range of skilled plumbing work including the installation, maintenance, inspection, modification, remodel and repair of mechanical plumbing equipment and fixtures for water, gas, oil, steam, sewage, fire sprinkler/prevention, and refrigeration related plumbing systems, including automated plumbing systems.
Accounting Technician III East Bay
The Accounting Technician III operates directly under the supervision of the Student Financial Services Manager. Responsible for a wide variety of duties requiring close attention to detail and customer service, responsible for recording and reporting the financial transactions in concert with the broader mission of the university. Operates independently on a wide variety of duties requiring judgment, initiative, independence and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Community Resident Engagement Specialist and Education Outreach - Administrative Analyst/Specialist Exempt I (Temporary through June 30, 2022, with the possibility of reappointment) East Bay
Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Hayward Promise Neighborhoods (HPNs), the Community Resident Engagement Specialist (CRES) will lead and facilitate comprehensive strategies for resident engagement and leadership across all aspects of the work with a focus on cradle-to-career education outreach. The individual will work to deepen trust and credibility among community residents, the University and other HPNs partners, especially educational institutions. This position will develop and maintain contacts with partners and community leaders as a basis of extending and strengthening community understanding and support of the Hayward Promise Neighborhoods initiative.
KIN/HRT Co-Op Administrative Support - Administrative Support Assistant II East Bay
This position supports two very large departments, Hospitality Recreation and Tourism and Kinesiology. Between the two departments there are approximately 1000 students, 75 faculty and instructors, 5 support staff and several student assistants. The incumbent will provide administrative support services for the HRT/KIN Coop across a wide range of administrative and student support operations.
Patient Support Services Lead - Registered Nurse III East Bay
The purpose of the Student Health and Counseling Services is to provide basic health care and health education services to CSUEB students, and to assist students in achieving and maintaining an optimal state of overall health so they may achieve their academic and career goals. Under the general direction of the Executive Director, Student Health & Counseling Services, the Patient Support Services Lead (RN III) is responsible for the operation and oversight of Patient Support Services, including the front office duties of reception, patient intake and medical records, back office clinical support duties and clinical laboratory functions, and provides some skilled nursing services and performs Public Health activities for both the Hayward and Concord campus communities. This position may require occasional coverage at CSU East Bay’s Concord campus. Responsibilities to apply equally as is applicable to all CSUEB campuses.
Family Nurse Practitioner - Nurse Practitioner East Bay
The Family Nurse Practitioner evaluates, diagnoses, and treats medical conditions of CSUEB students with an emphasis on preventative care, as per protocol and approved privileges, and under the supervision of a physician. The family nurse practitioner also provides health education and performs health promotion activities, and other administrative duties as assigned. The family nurse practitioner may also provide some employee health-care services. This position may require occasional coverage at CSU East Bay’s Concord campus.
Executive Director, Student Health & Counseling Services - Administrator III East Bay
Under the general direction of the Associate Vice President, Student Support Services and Equity Programs, the Executive Director, Student Health & Counseling position is delegated the responsibility for oversight of the Student Health and Counseling Services. In addition, the position directly oversees the operations of the Student Health and Counseling Services and function independently under the Executive Order, CSUEB and SHCS policies and procedures, and other applicable federal and state laws, in executing the duties of the Director, Student Health and Counseling Services. The position performs the specialized public health / health care functions independently per licensure under applicable State and Federal rules and regulations.
Psychiatrist -- Physician - Specialty Services (Part-time, 0.50 time-base) (10/12 pay plan) East Bay
The Student Health and Counseling Services (SHCS) provides limited psychiatric services for CSUEB students. Psychiatric services include diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic psychiatric illness. Chronic psychiatric illness may require referral to community resources for more extensive follow-up and treatment. The psychiatrist is expected to obtain a detailed intake assessment, as well as to order appropriate laboratory tests and pharmaceutical agents as required to support diagnostic evaluations. In addition, the psychiatrist is expected to be knowledgeable about and able to refer patients to community resources and to other practitioners within the Student Health Services when appropriate. Reporting to the Executive Director, the psychiatrist performs assigned psychiatric diagnostic treatment and psychotherapeutic activities within the scope of their license and board certification. The psychiatrist works in a consultative and collaborative capacity with Clinicians of the Student Health and Counseling Services, which includes Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Counselors. There may be some collaboration with the Director of Counseling and Lead Physician, as part of a team effort to coordinate appropriate care. This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week (0.50 time-base). This position is under the 10/12 pay plan (a salary for ten months' work paid in twelve equal installments). This position will have the months of June and July off. PLEASE NOTE: This is a 10/12 position. Benefits eligibility and earnings may be impacted if a candidate is unable to work through the entirety of the 10/12 appointment.
Physician - Physician Primary Care (10/12 pay plan) East Bay
The Physician is a full-time, 10/12 position and is an integral part of the Student Health & Counseling Services (SHCS). This position participates in the daily operational and practical needs of SHCS, primarily performs medical diagnostic and treatment activities, and participates in practitioner peer review staff educational and administrative meetings as needed. The incumbent will also assist SHCS in its on-going preparation for re-accreditation and HIPAA compliance as well as provide health education and participate in teaching activities.
Pioneer Success Coach for College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences - Student Services Professional III East Bay
Reporting to the Dean of Academic Programs & Services (APS) or designee, the Pioneer Success Coach provides highly complex student service professional work to achieve specific undergraduate student academic progress outcomes. Student academic progress outcomes include individual transitioning strategies to CSUEB, analyzing transcript and test scores, monitoring progress to degree and retention, developing individual academic plans that includes major, General Education and university graduation requirements as well as exploring alternate majors, if necessary. The Pioneer Success Coaches will use advising technology tools to develop undergraduate “high concern” student success reports, tracking and proactive advising interventions. These advisors will be key members of the Pioneer Care Team, EAB Navigate Leadership team and Advising Council.
ITS Solutions Developer (CRM & Integrations) -- Analyst/Programmer-Expert (2 positions) East Bay
This position is a technical and functional resource responsible for designing and implementing CRM and other solutions to support faculty, staff, and the University’s student success initiatives. Under the direction of ITS Director, the incumbent will be responsible for new solutions design and development, analyzing and understanding the campus data and technology needs, creating data integrations between different data sources and applications, maintaining the data integrity and implementing system enhancements.
Admission Counselor - Student Services Professional IB East Bay
Under the general supervision of the Executive Director of Admission and supervising Associate/Assistant Directors, the Admission Counselor positions coordinate the processing, evaluation, and advising of applicants for assigned groups. Counselors must follow a wide and complex range of relevant policies when making final admissions decisions. The positions are also responsible for advising on Admission requirements, policies and procedures to various audiences including prospective students/applicants, high school/community college counselors, faculty and staff.
