College & Career Programs Lead (Temporary) East Bay
Hayward Promise Neighborhoods (HPN) at Cal State East Bay is hiring a College & Career Programs Lead. Under the general direction of the Cradle to Career Program and Evaluation Director and Executive Director of Hayward Promise Neighborhoods (HPN), the College & Career Programs Lead will support a team of 4 staff supporting K-12 and postsecondary programs including Student Success Navigation (High School and Postsecondary), Pioneers with Promise (High School), and Internships (Postsecondary). This position is responsible for aligning strategies that support college and career readiness, persistence, and completion for students at Cal State East Bay, Hayward Unified School District, Eden Area ROP, and Chabot College. The lead will collaborate with university leadership, faculty, and external partners to ensure a coordinated approach to student success and workforce development within the cradle-to-career framework. The lead will have experience developing and implementing evidence-based programs that provide academic and career support services to students, including mentoring, career exploration, internship coordination, and college persistence coaching. The position requires strong collaboration with K-12 districts, community colleges, industry partners, and community-based organizations to establish pipelines for student success. Additionally, this role includes data analysis, program evaluation, and strategic planning to ensure programs meet institutional and grant-funded objectives.
Community Counseling Program Coordinator (Temporary) East Bay
Hayward Promise Neighborhoods (HPN) at Cal State East Bay is hiring a Community Counseling Program Coordinator. The Community Counseling Program Coordinator, under the direction of the Director(s) of the Community Counseling Clinic (CCC) and Executive Director at Hayward Promise Neighborhoods (HPN), coordinates a comprehensive range of activities aimed at enhancing access to counseling services for children and families within the HPN framework. This role is pivotal in connecting HPN community members, local schools, and agencies to the CCC’s services, particularly focusing on organizing and systematizing mental health counseling responsiveness provided by School Counseling/Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) and School Psychology/Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) trainees. The Coordinator will conduct on-campus presentations, initial screenings, and spearhead efforts in data collection and reporting to support U.S. Department of Education grant goals. The Coordinator manages the day-to-day operations of the CCC, which includes organizing mental wellness workshops, coordinating counseling services at outreach events, and facilitating systematic training programs like STEP (Systematic Training for Effective Parenting). Additionally, this position is responsible for data management, preparing analytical reports to evaluate service impact, and ensuring that all program activities align with grant requirements. This role demands a proactive approach in managing community relations, overseeing administrative tasks, and participating in advisory council meetings to continuously improve service delivery and client outcomes.
Outreach Events and Fulfillment Center Coordinator East Bay
The Office of Student Outreach provides comprehensive services to prospective students and the members of the community-at-large who are seeking information or services from the University relative to outreach, recruitment and preadmission for the purpose of admission to the university. Reporting to the Director of Student Outreach, the Outreach Events and Fulfillment Center Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing event related functions and overseeing the mailing and publication of all Outreach materials to prospective students and their families. The incumbent will provide high quality service for the department to prospective students, applicants, admitted students, their families, counselors and educators in the community. This position supports the efforts and goals of the Enrollment Management Department to promote Cal State East Bay awareness in designated market territories, promote the yield of admitted students, and engage with campus partners ensuring our clientele receives information about the vast university resources available.
College of Science Laboratory Support Technician East Bay
Fulfilling the College of Science’s (CSCI) instructional (both stateside and PHAP) and research missions at both the Cal State East Bay Hayward campus and Concord site requires the maintenance of shared facilities/equipment and a culture of safety. This instructional support position assists the Associate Dean in this work. This is a comprehensive position supporting the instructional laboratory sections in multiple departments within CSCI.  In particular, the individual will primarily serve the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and the Department of Physics, with occasional support to other departments in CSCI, as needed. The majority of the courses offered in Chemistry and Biochemistry and Physics have a linked or separate laboratory component, and these departments routinely run 80-90 laboratory class sections a year. The timely and accurate preparation of lab materials for the experiments in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is the combined job of the department stockroom personnel and the incumbent of this position. The individual sought for this position will oversee operation of the Chemistry and Biochemistry stockroom, share responsibility for the daily preparation of chemical reagents and equipment for the Chemistry and Biochemistry classroom laboratory sections, and lead other Chemistry and Biochemistry stockroom staff.  The timely and accurate preparation of the instructional lab equipment in the Department of Physics is the shared responsibility of the incumbent and other CSCI support staff. Thus, the individual sought for this position will share responsibility for the weekly set-up of instructional lab equipment in the Department of Physics.
Employer Relations Associate East Bay
