The AAC will support and work with their supervisor and team leader(s) in managing the functions of their assigned residential area. The Light Automotive Equipment Operator primarily performs skilled operation of light automotive vehicles and equipment in support of campus grounds and maintenance operations. The incumbent operates equipment and vehicles typical of this classification, including light-duty (two-axle) trucks, riding mowers, small wheel-type tractors with attachments, sweepers, utility vehicles, and small loaders within standard capacity limits. The position’s primary function is the safe and efficient operation of light automotive and grounds maintenance equipment, with responsibility for performing routine servicing and minor maintenance such as safety inspections, fluid checks, and basic adjustments to ensure proper working conditions. The incumbent reports equipment malfunctions and coordinates needed repairs. In support of equipment operation, the incumbent performs a range of grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, edging, planting, watering, and debris removal, as well as assisting with campus beautification and seasonal projects. Manual labor duties are performed in connection with equipment use, including loading and unloading materials. The Senior Investigator serves as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator, conducting intakes and investigations as they relate to discrimination, harassment, (including sexual misconduct) and retaliation. The Senior Investigator ensures compliance with Title IX, Title VI, the CSU Nondiscrimination Policy, the CSU Interim Nondiscrimination Policy, applicable CSU Executive Orders, the Violence Against Women Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the California Fair Employment and Housing Act. The incumbent will conduct interviews, compile data, interpret and analyze the facts, and provide written notices and investigation reports in a thorough and timely manner. The incumbent will employ dispute resolution, mediation, and problem-solving techniques to resolve issues on an informal basis consistent with the applicable CSU Policy. The incumbent will provide leadership for programming and education to prevent sexual misconduct and hostile environment issues, and serve on multidisciplinary committees that serve campus constituents. The incumbent may provide testimony regarding cases to outside agencies, provide advice and guidance to campus constituents, and interact with the CSU Office of the Chancellor, General Counsel, Civil Rights Attorney, Systemwide Director, Administrators, and colleagues at campuses within the CSU System. The incumbent must be able to respond to on-campus medical emergencies which may require walking outdoors several blocks carrying medical equipment or driving a minivan. This position may require occasional coverage at CSU East Bay’s Concord campus. The incumbent must be willing to comply with local and state laws governing CSU practices, be able to perform within the full spectrum of their specialty and comply with rules and regulations presented within their respective department(s).
