| The College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences (CLASS) comprises 19 academic departments, including the Graduate School of Education (GSE), which consists of three departments: Educational Leadership (EDLD), Educational Psychology (EPSY), and Teacher Education (TED).
The GSE offers multiple credential and master’s degree programs, as well as a Doctorate in Education in Educational Leadership for Social Justice. K–12 credential programs include Multiple Subject, Single Subject, Added Authorization in Reading and Literacy, Preliminary Administrative Services Credential, and Clear Administrative Services Credential. These programs are fully accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) and the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). In addition, EPSY’s MS in Counseling Psychology programs are accredited by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) for Marriage and Family Therapy Associate licensure.
Reporting to the Dean, the Associate Dean works collaboratively to advance the College’s strategic vision and lead the implementation of ongoing and new initiatives. The Associate Dean performs a broad range of administrative functions for the GSE, including oversight of faculty and staff and supervision of fiscal operations. This role includes assisting department chairs with financial and strategic planning, annual enrollments, recruitment, and faculty workload.
The Associate Dean represents the GSE in formal grievance matters and serves as Chair of Accreditation, overseeing California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and WSCUC accreditation processes. In collaboration with the Dean, the Associate Dean oversees tenure-track faculty searches; serves as the immediate supervisor of GSE office staff; and acts as an ombuds for faculty and staff concerns. |

DISARC Coordinator - SSP II (Temporary)

| In collaboration with campus partners, the DISARC coordinator provides cultural and personal guidance to students to support their academic advancement; develops, designs, updates, and implements cultural programs, services and training for our specific population of students; completes outreach to expand current services; builds and maintains partnerships with on- and off-campus resources; and gathers feedback and research to implement best practices.
The DISARC Coordinator will also provide work direction to student employees. The DISARC Coordinator provides leadership and guidance to the campus community regarding the specific student population of the center for which they will serve as the direct coordinator. The DISARC Coordinator has responsibilities which include but are not limited to supporting student programs planning, marketing, publicity and measurement of program effectiveness for the department. The DISARC Coordinator will also have a DISARC functional area for which they will serve as the point person for that function for the entire department. |

Senior Academic Advisor – Student Resources Specialist

| The College of Business and Economics Student Resources Specialist position primarily focuses on providing comprehensive academic advising to undergraduate students, assisting with academic planning, graduation eligibility, course substitutions, transfer credit evaluations, and student success initiatives. The role involves working closely with students regarding academic concerns, probationary status, and ensuring compliance with university policies. Additionally, it includes managing the scholarship process, guiding students and advisors on course articulation, and coordinating with the Study Abroad office for credit transfer.
The position also requires active participation in university committees, professional development, and campus events like New Student Orientation. Other responsibilities include maintaining effective communication with the campus community, contributing to the improvement of advising processes, and training staff as necessary. |

Transfer Admissions Counselor- SSP II (2 Positions)

| The Office of Admissions is looking for an independent, detail-oriented, quick-learning and professional individual to be part of our Transfer Admissions team. Under the general supervision of the Director of Admission and supervising Associate Director, the Transfer Admission Counselor coordinates the processing, evaluation, and advising of applicants for assigned groups. The counselor must follow a wide and complex range of relevant policies when making final admissions decisions. This position is also responsible for advising on Admission requirements, policies and procedures to various audiences including prospective students/applicants, faculty and staff. Working with other East Bay offices, the counselors also participate in the campus-wide effort to recruit prospective students as well as support the transition of admitted applicants to enrolled students. |
