Lecturer Pool for Department of Earth, Environmental and Sustainability Sciences, AY 26-27	East Bay	April 14, 2026
Part-time positions teaching introductory courses in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Geography and Geology. Lecturers teach many of the courses listed in the 2026-27 University Catalog and due to recent and pending retirements we are particularly interested in applications from individuals able to teach introductory and advanced geology courses, GIS and Remote Sensing courses, and meteorological/atmospheric science. Opportunities may occasionally arise for teaching evening graduate classes in applied fields such as Engineering Geology. Please note that teaching assignments at California State University, East Bay may include courses at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online. Minimum requirement of M.S. in Geography, Geology, Environmental Science or its equivalent, or enrollment in a Ph.D. program in Geography, Geology, Environmental Science or its equivalent with sufficient progress towards the degree.
Custodial Coordinator (Administrative Analyst Exempt I)	East Bay	March 03, 2026
California State University, East Bay is seeking a Custodial Coordinator to support daily custodial operations and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming campus environment. Reporting to Facilities Development & Operations, this position plays a key role in coordinating custodial services across academic, administrative, housing, and event spaces. The Custodial Coordinator assists with scheduling, work assignments, quality control inspections, and staff coordination across multiple shifts. This role supports compliance with CSU standards, health and safety regulations, and sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction and recycling programs. The coordinator also works closely with supervisors, Facilities Work Control, and campus partners to respond to service requests, special events, and operational needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in custodial operations, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a diverse campus environment. Familiarity with work order systems, union environments, and customer service best practices is highly desirable. The ability to lead by example, support staff, and maintain consistent service levels is essential. This position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to the campus community while supporting a collaborative Facilities team dedicated to operational excellence.
Physician - Primary Care (10/12 Pay Plan)	East Bay	February 13, 2026
The Physician is an integral part of the Student Health & Counseling Services (SHCS). The Physician participates in the daily operational and practical needs of SHCS, primarily performs medical diagnostic and treatment activities, and participates in practitioner peer review staff educational and administrative meetings as needed. The incumbent will also assist SHCS in its on-going preparation for re-accreditation and HIPAA compliance as well as provide health education and participate in teaching activities. The incumbent will have regular contact with blood, blood products and bodily fluids as well as communicable diseases. There may also be some contact with physical and chemical hazardous materials, such as liquid nitrogen, TCA, etc. Routine exposure to needles and sharp objects is to be expected. The incumbent must be able to respond to on-campus medical emergencies which may require walking outdoors several blocks carrying medical equipment or driving a minivan. This position may require occasional coverage at CSU East Bay’s Concord campus. The incumbent must be willing to comply with local and state laws governing CSU practices, be able to perform within the full spectrum of their specialty and comply with rules and regulations presented within their respective department(s).
