Hourly Sign Language Interpreter POOL (Temporary & Intermittent)

| The purpose of this position is to provide communication access via sign language interpreting services for students, faculty, staff and guests of the campus who are Deaf or hard-of-hearing. Sign language interpreting services may be needed in academic courses, meetings, office hours, student groups, and/or campus events. These services may be required to be provided remotely or on-site at one of Cal State East Bay’s three campuses: Hayward, Concord, and/or Oakland. This is an hourly, temporary, intermittent position. Work schedules may vary each academic term depending on operational needs. The incumbent may be required to work some weekend and evening hours as needed. |

| The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences seeks part-time lecturers for a pool from which instructors will be considered for teaching appointments as they become available for Fall Semester 2025, and Spring Semester, 2026. The Department offers a Bachelor of Science degree and an accredited Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology and/or Audiology. Assignments might include teaching one or more basic and advanced course(s) for undergraduate and graduate students. There are approximately 200 majors and five regular faculty. |
