Job Summary |

The Educational Doctorate program within the College of Education is committed to preparing high quality educators and leaders who engage in research-based instruction, reflective practices, meet ethical and professional standards, participate in innovative collaborative endeavors, dedicated to lifelong learning and making the world a better place. We seek an exceptional individual to join our team as the Educational Doctorate Assistant (Administrative Support Assistant II). The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to inclusivity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness. Under general supervision of the Associate Dean and the Director of the Educational Doctorate program, the Educational Doctorate Assistant coordinates student assistant office coverage and purchasing of supplies. Ensures direct assessments and surveys are being collected by working with data analyst each semester, communicating with faculty what needs to be collected, and tracking the collection and submission related to Educational Doctorate. Monitor department email and create process for ensuring faculty submit their APA citation. Assist Educational doctorate recruiters with tracking Applications and Files. Schedule Admissions interviews including set up. Collect and archive Educational Doctorate Syllabi each semester. Create, maintain and post-office hours for Educational Doctorate Instructors each semester. Help maintain student tracking sheet that record student status in course, program, chair assignments, and other notes. Other duties as assigned. |

Essential Qualifications |
High School diploma or the equivalent and three years of experience in general office, clerical or secretarial work or the equivalent. General working knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures. Thorough knowledge of office methods, procedures, practices, and equipment. Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling with demonstrated competence in effectively presenting standard information in writing. Ability to learn, interpret independently, apply, and identify deviations from a variety of complex policies and procedures. Ability to apply independent judgment, discretion, and initiative to address problems and develop practical, thorough and, at times, creative solutions. Ability to perform arithmetic functions of a transactional nature, including tracking and comparing data. Ability to work on the front line, with a variety of campus and community individuals requiring active problem solving and effective interpersonal skills. Demonstrated competence in understanding, interpreting, and communicating procedures, policies, information, ideas, and instructions. Basic typing and keyboarding skills. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to complete the background check satisfactorily may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position. |

Preferred Qualifications |
Previous front-line customer service experience. Familiarity with the College of Education or experience working in another College/Department at a CSU. Experience using Adobe software, and CMS PeopleSoft. Ability to multitask. |

Notice of Availability of the Annual Fire Safety Report (AFSR)

The purpose of this report is to disclose statistics for fires that occurred within California State University, Fullerton housing facilities for the last three (3) calendar years, and to distribute fire safety policies and procedures intended to promote safety on campus.
