Compensation and Benefits


Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $3,864 - $4,100 per month

Full CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,864 - $6,072 per month

  • This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position.

 

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

 

The Administrative Support Coordinator provides clerical and administrative support functions for the Dean’s Office in the Lyles College of Engineering and performs a full range of secretarial and administrative support functions. Assignments and projects are varied and complex and may have longer work cycles. Administrative support projects often involve coordinating, prioritizing, and monitoring through their completion with accountability for end results and work performed by other. Day-to-day work is performed independently under general supervision. Work is supervised in terms of overall accomplishments. Own priorities and often those of others support staff are regularly set. Work involves addressing a wide range of problems which requires interpreting policies and procedures and using ingenuity to put information together in new ways. The ASC I works under the supervision of the Dean of the Lyles College of Engineering and performs a range of coordination, clerical, secretarial, and administrative support tasks in the Office of the Dean.

 

Key Qualifications

  • Independently interpret and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures where specific guidelines my not exist.
  • Ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to all inquiries and requests related to campus wide programs.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to create and maintain program records and provide data for review.
  • Maintain files and records.
  • Perform data entry with speed and accuracy.

Education and Experience

  • Completion of a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with three years of related office work experience.

This will require the filing of a Statement of Economic Interest on an annual basis and the completion of training within six (6) months of assuming office and every two (2) years thereafter.
