Job Summary
This position will work under the general supervision of the Assistant Athletics Director, Marketing & Creative Services. The incumbent will support the daily marketing operations of the Athletics Department. They will assist in coordinating and implementing the year-round marketing and promotions plan. Additionally, the incumbent will focus on enhancing the fan experience through effective and creative strategies, engage with customers, and promote Long Beach State Athletics.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate efforts to enhance attendance, ticket revenue, marketing & promotions, fan experience, and sales to engage students, staff, alumni, supporters, and prospective fans.
- Development and implementation of in-game planning and promotional efforts for assigned sports and special events that enhance the image and awareness of LBSU Athletics with a key focus on maximizing the fan experience.
- Develop and improve campus relationships to drive interest and attendance amongst the student body.

Strong customer service skills over the telephone, in person, and through written communication.

Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."
Education and Experience
- Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of experience in marketing, business administration, sport administration, or a related field required.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
Physical Summary
Light work - Job involves some lifting of medium weight objects (10-20 pounds) and/or 10% - 20% of the job involves standing or walking.
Licenses
Valid California driver's license required. Employees who are required to operate motorized vehicles and/or use their personal vehicle more than once a month on University business are required to take a mandatory Defensive Driving course and enroll in the DMV Employee Pull Notice (EPN) Program.

Compensation
CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $4,146 - $7,500 per month.
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.

Time Base
Full-time temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
