Job Summary
Under the direction of the Dean, the Administrative Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the administrative functions of the College of Professional and Continuing Education. This role ensures that the operational needs of the College are met efficiently and effectively, including managing human resources, finance, facilities, and general administrative support. The Administrative Services Manager plays a critical role in streamlining processes, improving organizational effectiveness, and supporting the College’s mission to provide high-quality programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Human Resources Management - Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training processes for staff within the unit. Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions. Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures related to HR, including equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Financial Management and Budgeting - Develop, monitor, and manage the annual budget for the college. Oversee financial operations, including purchasing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Facilities and Operations Management - Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and operation of college facilities, ensuring they meet the needs of staff, faculty, and students.
- Administrative Support and Process Improvement - Provide high-level administrative support to the Dean, Directors, and other senior leaders within the College. Aid in the development and implementation of administrative policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to oversee multiple functions. In-depth knowledge of HR practices, financial management, and facilities operations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Proven ability to manage budgets and financial processes. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve operations.
Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in administrative management, including HR and financial management, preferably in a higher education setting required.
Physical Summary
Sedentary work - Involves mainly sitting. Walking and standing are minimal. Lifting is limited to lightweight objects. (10 pounds or less).

Compensation
CSU MPP Compensation Summary Range: The MPP Comp Summary Range for this position is $7,955 - $11,933 per month.
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
