Job Summary

The Associate Director of Financial Aid Systems is responsible for overseeing the CMS (Oracle/Peoplesoft) Student Administration Financial Aid Module and the fiscal operations of a comprehensive student financial aid delivery system that administers more than $340 million annually. This role provides strategic leadership in the effective use of existing systems and the implementation of new technologies to ensure high-quality service delivery. The Associate Director leads process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness, applies project management best practices to advance departmental objectives, and oversees required statistical, financial, and compliance reporting.

Furthermore, the incumbent provides services that are equitable, inclusive, and culturally sensitive to enhance the quality of campus life.  This position uses a student-centered and equity-minded approach in all communication and service efforts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for the PeopleSoft Student Administration Financial Aid Module, including the development, optimization, and implementation of automated processes and technologies to improve operational efficiency. Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of financial aid to students during critical processing periods throughout the academic year.
  • Manage the financial aid systems team, ensuring effective coordination, planning, and oversight of workflows to support accurate system configuration and annual processing activities. Identify and recommend enhancements to operational practices and promote ongoing staff professional development.
  • Manage and coordinate required financial aid data reporting activities in compliance with federal, state, and system-wide requirements.

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.

  • Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $8,339 - $10,000 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.

Education and Experience

Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field (education, business, social sciences) and a minimum of three years of related experience required. Master's degree preferred.  Minimum of five years of related experience is strongly desired.
