Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Associate Dean for Administration, this position performs a variety of specialized, analytical, and technical duties related to the overall administrative operations of the College of Business and the Associate Dean’s office. This position plans and conducts complex analytical studies for the college with only general supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Access, compile, analyze, and present information and data to the Associate Dean, Dean, and other offices.
- Perform a variety of administrative, technical, and analytical duties and day-to-day administration related to academic operations in the college.
- Coordinate the college’s Reappointment, Tenured, and Promotion (RTP) and faculty review processes, RSCA award process, sabbatical leave process, lecturer performance evaluation process, faculty related election processes and other faculty-related duties processes. Ensuring that all paperwork, documents and on-line processes are handled according to policies and guidelines.
- Respond to inquiries regarding specialized areas of knowledge and inquiries on administrative operations of the College of Business, and provide information in a timely, tactful and effective manner.
- Develop and maintain college guides on university and college policies and procedures. Maintain documentation of all administrative and student advising related procedures. Provide orientations and training on an as needed basis.
- Attend and participate in workshops and trainings and stay abreast of new developments within assigned areas of responsibility. Maintain awareness of changes in university and college policies impacting these specialized areas.
- Serve as scholarship administrator for the college.
- On behalf or the College of Business, participate in university sponsored task forces or programs on student success, e.g. Data Fellows

Compensation
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
- Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $4,799 (Step 1) - $5,093 (Step 4) per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.
- CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $4,799 (Step 1) - $6,992 (Step 20) per month.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
This position requires a highly analytical and organized professional with experience in data management, research, reporting, and higher education administration. They excel at collecting, analyzing, and presenting complex data to support leadership decision-making and are skilled in statistical analysis, database management, dashboard development, and reporting. They can develop and maintain data repositories, generate projections, and produce meaningful reports related to enrollment management, student success, faculty workload, curriculum trends, and academic performance. Their ability to build collaborative relationships across campus ensures accurate and effective use of institutional data while supporting strategic planning and operational goals.
The ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge of academic operations, curriculum administration, and course scheduling. They provide leadership and coordination for curriculum, catalog, and scheduling processes, ensuring compliance with university policies and deadlines while serving as a trusted resource to faculty, department chairs, committees, and staff. They are skilled at managing multiple priorities, maintaining complex databases, conducting specialized analyses, and delivering timely, accurate information. Their strong communication and project management abilities enable them to provide training, technical support, and guidance that promotes efficient academic planning and continuous process improvement.
Additionally, the ideal candidate has extensive experience coordinating faculty-related processes, including reappointment, tenure and promotion reviews, lecturer evaluations, faculty awards, sabbaticals, and elections. They are detail-oriented and highly organized, ensuring compliance with policies, maintaining confidential records, and effectively managing complex workflows. They also oversee scholarship administration, support student success initiatives, develop procedural guides and training materials, and participate in university committees and professional development activities. Through their analytical expertise, operational knowledge, and collaborative approach, they contribute significantly to the overall success and effectiveness of the College of Business.

Education and Experience
• Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of related experience required.
• Training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, and programs preferred.
• Foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods preferred.
