Duties and Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, serves as Magaram Center receptionist and office coordinator providing administrative support to the Executive Director and Associate/Assistant Director. Responds to inquiries about the Center and its programs and services in-person and over the phone; schedules appointments; coordinates Center program and services locations and room reservations; maintains filling system; opens an distributes mail; prepares correspondence and reports; maintains records and submits requests; performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

The equivalent of three years of full-time, general office clerical work that has provided the candidate with the knowledge of the abilities listed. College education/vocational school training in business or related field may be substituted for up to two years of the required experience. Type at a corrected rate of 45 wpm.

 

Knowledge, Specialized Skills, and Abilities:

Ability and specialized skills to: organize, coordinate, and prioritize multiple tasks; learn, identify, and independently interpret and apply a variety of complex policies and procedures; investigate, analyze, and resolve routine clerical problems; work in a busy environment with frequent interruptions; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; independently prepare and draft clear and concise final form of memoranda and correspondences; keep moderately complex records and files; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, students, faculty, and other; and operate standard office machines, computers, and software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

 

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

This position is employed through The University Corporation (TUC).

The anticipated hiring range: $20-25 per hour

 

General Information

THE SELECTED CANDIDATE IS REQUIRED TO PASS A THOROUGH DEPARTMENT (BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION AND LIVE SCAN).

 

Per TUC Mandate, the candidate will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination including a booster.
