Duties and Responsibilities:
Working under the direction of the Program Manager, the Social Media Specialist is responsible for social media and digital content for the agency. This includes creating and scheduling regular social media posts and campaigns, creating flyers and outreach materials, creating monthly email newsletter, maintaining our website with current events and content and other duties as assigned. Requirements include general computer skills, pleasant manner and ability to work cooperatively as part of a team; excellent written communication and organizational skills. This is a part-time year-round position. Occasional local travel (reimbursed) and assistance at special events.
- Create and scheduling social media posts and outreach campaigns to meet organizational needs
- Creating flyers and outreach materials
- Creating FFRC email newsletter
- Maintaining FFRC website using university tools provided
- Contacts with staff, parents, caregivers and professionals
- Professional development (participate in staff meetings and trainings)
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Specialized Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of social media, communication tools and organizational goals
- Ability to use photo and video editing tools and create reels
- Ability to collaborate and work cooperatively with a variety of people
- Ability to lift 20 lbs
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
This position is employed through The University Corporation (TUC).
The anticipated hiring range: $18.00 - $20.00/hour
Full Pay range: $16.85 - $20.68/hour
Time Base: Part-Time
